TECHNICAL INFO & POLICY

Before you start the course remember to update your software and check for any glitches or technical difficulties. One way to do this is to simply log in and see if everything works. Try to get set up so that you can handle technical difficulties before the course starts.

Make sure to do updates of any programs you are using or might need. The following should be tweaked and in good working order:

  • Make sure your Windows / Mac Browser is up to date. If you use another Browser  like Mozilla make sure it's working properly.
  • You need Adobe Acrobat Reader and Word to open many of the documents in WebCT make sure these are updated and working.
  • The MCC Software Page has FREE DOWNLOADS & UPDATES for you (click FREE)

At this point I feel it is important to bring you the following announcement about technical difficulties . . . . .  uhmmmm …. hold on just a moment . . . . . . . . oooops . . . # (* $) # $ &) # * $) # & $) # & $ * # $ & # $ # $ & #) $ * & # * $ # & $ * # $ # $ & # $ # $ # $ # $ & # $ # $ # & $) __ @ #) * ($ @) # $) @ # $ & ! _ $ (* ($ () $ #) $ . . . .  sorry, now where were we? I just experienced a bit of technical difficulty. That’s right! We were talking about technical difficulties! If you experience technical difficulties, go to MCC Technology and Support Services for assistance. The folks there will supply you with help and updates.

It’s a good idea to turn OFF your Pop Up Blocker when you’re using WebCT because it can interrupt the upload. If nothing else it’s a nuisance. You can turn off the Blocker by going to “TOOLS” on your Browser Menu.
